I saw lots of terrible review of Newegg on lots of website, like this  https://www.bbb.org/kitchener/business-reviews/computer-parts/newegg-canada-in-richmond-hill-on-1321060/reviews-and-complaints or https://ca.trustpilot.com/review/www.newegg.com. However some of them do have positive review, like this https://www.resellerratings.com/store/Newegg_ca. Any though on this?

Newegg is great but there are also listings on the site from other vendors. It's best to avoid the 3rd party vendors that seem sketchy.

I haven't had any issues buying from Newegg, I primarily buy only from Newegg itself (not through third parties).  I have done several purchases through third parties though and have not had any issues.  I think you would find the same problems with stuff sold via third party on Amazon as well.  I have also had great customer service when I needed it through newegg, whether it be a RMA, or damaged in shipping items.

Disclaimer: I am a Newegg Eggxpert reviewer.

I buy on newegg's ebay account because there's more buyer protection and the stuff is usually cheaper.

I haven't had a problem with newegg though Prime is nice for the shipping. Newegg has better packaging for pc hardware than Amazon and sometimes i'll get an item in 2 days with the 3 day shipping but it depends where you are.

Never had any issues but I was ordering from newegg canada not newegg so I dont know how it compares. I bought a bunch of stuff from them overall and recently a laptop and a ssd, their shipping is on time and had no issues overall. Newegg canada even offers to deliver to Post Canada directly in order to avoid stupid transport companies dropping of things on your porch.

I'm pretty mixed about Newegg. I shop there a lot and it's not perfect but if you have Premier membership, the experience is much better. I'm in the US so only have experience with Newegg US. Without Premier, they have restocking fees on returns which really suck and also they will not make exceptions to any of their policies. Once I requested a price match and they even replied saying my price match was valid but the competitor's price was too low so they won't match it. Luckily I was a Premier member so I called their Premier line up and requested a return for the item. They gave me the price match after I said I was returning the item because I was denied a price match. Customer service overall is much better on the Premier hotline and the waived restocking fees and free return shipping more than make up for the cost of the annual Premier membership if you shop there regularly.

While Newegg is still better than Amazon, it has gone downhill, becoming more and more like Fleabay. More and more products that Newegg used to stock are now being stocked by dodgy Marketplace vendors. Newegg also has started the despicable practice of consolidating reviews for similar products, which explains why the recently announced Samsung 4TB 860 Pro shows 529 reviews with an average of four eggs despite the fact that Samsung hasn't started shipping them yet. Adding insult to injury, you can no longer email Newegg; you can only call or text.

Well Newegg did just sell out a lot of their customers in Connecticut to the state's Dept of Revenue Services so they could collect back taxes on the customers. They should have told their customers they shared that info and the Connecticut's DRS was going to try to collect back taxes. Their shipping is also terrible on small items if you select free shipping, and I have paid for expedited 2-day shipping from them and still received my order via UPS SurePost or FedEx SmartPost two weeks later instead of the two days I paid for. If you buy OEM hard drives from them they're packed horribly and I have had high end WD Black OEM drives I ordered from them die prematurely on me while the so called low end crap Seagate drives I buy from Best Buy have been rock solid. Honestly the only reason to go with them over Amazon is not paying sales tax, but if they sold out their customers once no reason for them not to again, so I'm done buying from them. Amazon has my orders shipped to my door quickly and they charge the tax at the point of sale.

I haven't ordered any HDDs from Newegg (or any one else, for that matter; I've gone all SSD) I around two years but the drives I did receive were very well packaged. Each drive was enclosed into a thick, tubular bubble wrap cocoon made of the thickest plastic I've ever seen used for something like that, then inserted into a sturdy, snug fitting, cardboard box. If shipping more than two drives, the individual boxes were placed in a larger box with additional empty boxes taking up any empty space. I don't see how they could have been packaged any better. Even manufacturer retail packaging wasn't that good.

The only drive I ever received DOA from Newegg was a 4TB WD Black. it may have been DOA from the factory or it might have been from rough handling during shipment (it was a few days after Black Friday two or three years ago). Newegg quickly replaced it.

Brought my laptop from Newegg. The delivery guy just left the thing in front of the doorstep. No signature, no nothing.

Return means paying for your own shipping label and they charge a restocking fee.

try buying from amazon if you can.
