Hi - newbie here. I haven't posted much in tech forums for a few years, although I was on MadOnion (later Futuremark) for almost two decades until they closed the forums.

I've recently got back into PC gaming, I love the Linus Tech Tips channel on YouTube. I'm a bit of a grandpa (really... my first computer was an Atari 800) but young at heart as they say.

Anyhoo, hello and all that.

How much did those big 5" floppies hold? 50MB xD

Question is how much did those Atari games hold for memory?

Star Raiders was 8KB of ROM, Donkey Kong was 16KB (those were my first games)

Welcome.

The first computer I ever played with was an old Macintosh. This was in 1994-1995ish, I was 4 at the time. There was an application with a satellite map of the state I used to explore. Was fun.

The first computer I actually owned was an HP with a 600 MHz Celeron, 128MB of RAM, and Windows ME. Honestly, I'm not sure how that dumb thing (HP) didn't scare me away from computers, what with ME's legendary reliability and speed.

Thinking that 5.25" floppy disks held 50mb is... That's just so quaint.  Yes, let's call that assumption quaint.

I thought he meant KB and accidentally wrote it MB.

†

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
        In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
        In Flanders fields.

Cry havoc and let slip the Togs of war.  (Signature V3)
