I'm using an Intertek LED lamp I got from WalMart a couple of years ago and it's bright, yet uses only 3.5w's of power.
It's enough that I've got it pointed straight up, shining up the wall and that in turn makes it light up the entire room enough I can see, read by it and so on. It's not as bright as an overhead light would make it but it's sufficient for my needs and got it in a room that would normally be a bedroom but used instead as my "Office".
And I paid less than $7 for it too when I got it.

I literally went from cheerful to depressed in like months, but I just have to convince myself I'm not miserable and I'm doing great, because I've been doing the opposite for a while and it's really bad

Pretty good! I was giving a friend a ride earlier, and they were being a backseat driver, which they do a lot so I had to tell them directly to stop, kind of darkened the mood but it needed to be done.

Otherwise you can be like me and make yourself a life size stuffed doll, put some actual clothes on it and whenever you're feeling blue or mad hang it and start hitting it or tie it up and whip it so hard that your arms are sore after half an hour, just think you're beating up and punishing that one guy you can't stand because X, Y or Z reason. That's what I do. Helps blow off some steam.

Word of advice: double reinforce the sewings on the doll otherwise it'll explode, a face isn't really necessary but can be a nice creepy detail, yup, with a nice smile and big wide open eyes.

Yup, and a PAR, most of the heat is reflected downwards, it's also enough to warm my hands on a cold day which is neat.

 

I've tried LEDs and the only one I liked is the one with the LED filament that mimics the incandescent bulb, hue and temperature are almost similar, haven't found one that's equivalent to 200W though so my room looks depressing with a dim yellowish light on it. Sad.

There are different "Styles" of bulbs you can get.
Some are called daylight because it's supposed to mimic natural sunlight in the room, others are the usual fluoresent type lighting, if you don't want the yellow look you can always ask someone at the store about the different styles.
Home Depot and Lowes have several different styles you can get, places like Wal-Mart normally carry just the standard type bulbs.

I've seen a 150W equivalent before and I think it was at Lowes. The 100W equivalents I've got in the den are plenty bright themselves and look good too, got those from Home Depot when I replaced the old lamp some time ago.
I remember when I put 4 60W equivalents in each bathroom here, it was eye-melting bright (At first - Got used to them) and still is today after about 3 years of use.

Still have and even use the 128MB one I've got from waaaay back in 2004.
