This may sound unsympathetic, but it happens everywhere, and you can't let it hang you up. There are members I wish were still around from the early years and I greatly miss engaging with them.

I agree to this.

It there choice they don't need to provide evidence.

This is a community and sometimes people want to move from the community.

Yes we notice them move on but we need to look ahead, it's ok to remember the old times but don't get hung up on why they left.

Before deleting your own account was a thing, I think if someone requested their account to be deleted, their posts will remain

I heard that you can request the posts to be removed, but that's a manual process? Might remember wrongly

When deleting your account you are given the option to delete all your posts to or leave them.

Correct. To delete your account, you would have to submit a request via the Forum Support button at the very bottom of the page to send a ticket to Admins to request deletion of account and posts.

Both were a manual process, but people with a large number of posts and who had contributed a lot to the community would be encouraged to reconsider deleting their posts.
