Realistically how long will an ssd last?

I'm looking into buying an ssd soon and the ssd im looking at says that it has "1.75M hours mean time to failure" which is nearly 200 years. I don't realistically see it lasting 200 years but what can I actually expect? 

 

(The ssd is "WD Blue 3D NAND 500GB PC SSD - SATA")

That can't really be determined. There's way, way too many variables.

Don't look at MTF's, look at the amount of data written.

It also depends (more or less) how full the drive is; if you're constantly writing tons of data to the same cell, then it'll probably die faster.

 

Really though, it's not an issue. Chances are you'll upgrade long before it dies.

This isn't a guarantee, but a good forecast. The warranty for the named SSD is ten years. Also, TLC drives don't have to hide. The 1TB model of the Samsung 850 EVO series, which is equipped with the low-priced TLC storage type, can expect a lifespan of 114 years.

Like @Nerdtality said, if it has a warranty of 10 years, you would upgrade your SSD long before it dies unless you're doing some extreme read/writing all day, every day.
