Just wondering, because i thought it was said that id be repealed in March of 2018, and now its April so now what?

It has been repealed, ISPs are taking advantage of it, some of the more blue states are trying to take the FCC to court over it. 

 

The Senate could pass a repeal of the repeal but the House could not.

I believe it has been repealed. 

I don't believe anything will happen for awhile. At least in the eyes of the consumer. ISPs will let everything blow over. And In a few years we will start seeing shenanigans. Or more shenanigans then there already are.

Lawsuits and whatnot are pending against the repeal so it won't take effect until after they are settled (I think)

It was put in to place because Comcast was throttling. The FCC slapped them on the wrist and the Federal Courts said the FCC didnt have the power to do so. So yeah, there was a reason for it. People were noticing a problem.

You should care, why you ask? For the same reason you should care if Russia has nuclear weapons, the same reason you should care if the U.S. is part of the Paris Accords on Climate Change, the same reason you should care if China has open trade with North Korea. Net Neutrality gave us rights to use the internet for anything we choose at no greater cost than any other thing, losing this means that we no longer are entitled to this, it is now a privilege that we are currently granted by ISP's. However they have (for the most part) the power to revoke that privilege from us and without net neutrality we are almost powerless against the ISP's will. Here is an example of how this could have a huge impact on Americans as a whole. If an ISP which was primarily run by Democrats wished for a Republican news network such as Fox News to be almost impossible to access for those using their internet services they absolutely could. It is entirely possible for an ISP to throttle Fox News to 1 kb per second or less. Now obviously this is an unlikely scenario actually occur but it is possible to occur with net neutrality no longer in effect. Net Neutrality is a safe guard against the potential greed and or bias of ISP's and without Net Neutrality we leave ourselves vulnerable that potential greed and bias.

There obligation is to give the customer the service the customer is pay for, not to be gate keepers. On top of the fact its not throttling that is bad, its throttling certain traffic.
