I'm at school firewall blocked that content.

point of the video is that soundcards are garbage. they are as good or worse than your onboard audio

On my first computer i got a case that came with screw less drive mount rail thingys that came in a box that fit nicely inside the case.  I lost the box.  Took it out so I felt like I had more room to work/learn, never realized keeping it in the case, or at least somewhere you remember, is kinda useful.   My hard drives are mounted on zip ties as I can not find an alternative. . . . . the green Dell ones don't work, I have tired.

spending more money on unnecessary things is a good thing?

Could be considered future proofing yourself if he went to a multiple card and water-cooled setup.

Bought an 850W power supply for a single GPU set up....

Then added a second and didn't have to get a new GPU...

As for tech fails, buying a TV without an audio output.(besides the speakers)

850w for a 7850. that not much of a mistake as "futerproofing" or "lasting a bit longer, maybe?"

When I built my computer (first build) I used the DVD drive from my old desktop, except I didn't realize it wasn't going to be compatible.. Still using the IDE to Sata converter I bought the next day.

You know that's mainly theory, not practical hands on use or tinkering with.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

Running 4930K but having a mobo with 4 dimm slots and only sli support

Running 4930K but only 650Ti

Using MicroATX when my shelf can hold HPTX

Using 12GB of RAM

2x4GB 1.65V Ripjaws X CL9 2133MHz running at 1333MHz due to third stick CL9 1333MHz 1.5V.(they are downclocked to 1066MHz to run cooler by 0.00000000000000001°C)

Using 1600x900 TN Acer Gateway screen crap

Using Intel Stock cooler(aluminum) to cool a Hard Drive-the aluminum block is touching the hard drive w/out paste, the fan is separate from the block balancing on top

Using the PCIe protecting rubber strip to straighten the 650Ti by pushing the strip between the bottom pcie slot and the cooler shroud

Using a 80mm 3 pin fan to cool RM650 power supply

Attempting to glue a heatsink on my Surface RT and use a USB Fan for cooling

Having foam pads stuck on the bottom of the ipad and using hot glue on the side of the ipad to reduce damage when dropped

Used Aluminum tape to tape cameras of iPad and Surface to prevent NSA from doing funny business

For some reason the home button of the ipad have aluminum tape

The mute switch on my iPad have been hot glued as well-planning to switch to lead free solder instead

Using VGA on all HTPCs

Not enough for 7950 xfire, but way more than enough for my current system! Should have went with the 520w or just a 750w =.=
