I recently had a laptop to install a antivirus program on a laptop and I downloaded the program and ran it... We can’t run this ... WHAT! So I clicked on a few things and then saw that you couldn’t install unverified programs. Until I remembered the ‘Windows S’ video on TechQuckie. So Keep looking then I did find a upgrade to Pro (Free) so that was okay. But still Windows S is very bad... But at least it doesn’t bother me.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Nayyyy. Android is better in terms of being easy to use. Windows is better in functionality, but with the Shxt version MS takes it away.

You are the one who's not getting things right. Infected PDF and DOC files do harm when the PC reads them and run scripts through the application used to read it, exploiting bugs in PDF readers as some say. The only way to completely stop this is to make pdf and doc unreadable, which will make Win 10 S worse than iOS even.

I would hate Microsoft more if they decide to upload their detected samples to Virus Total. Some people call it innovation, I call it cheating and being lazy. Also, Windows Defender in FCU has improved a lot.

There is more that meets the eye
I see the soul that is inside

The point of Windows 10 S is that you don't have an A/V beside Windows Defender.

Any program you can download MUST be from the Windows 10 Store. App approved and checked by Microsoft.

If you want to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, then go to:
Start > Settings  > Update & Security  > Activation > Upgrade your edition of Windows > Go to Store.

Once you upgrade, you can't go back, but you can emulate the same experience, by going:
Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & Features. At the top under "Installing apps", you can set it to: "Allow apps from the Store only".

And from now on, from this point on, any ELSE that is wants to run or install that is outside of the store, will not run. You'll get the same style of pop-up message. Currently installed programs that were installed outside of the Store, will still function just fine, as if they came from the Store.
