This is probably major news. It is the "secret" demo that only slides existed, now the video is finally available. Thanks for posting this, I literally didn't expect this now, just happened to find this thread via "last hour" search.

Alerting others ...

I wonder if AMD is going to come out with an FX-like processor with 8+ steamroller cores, now that would be awesome.

You mean a 8 core APU? Because they're done with CPU's.

No I mean getting an AM3+ socket 8 core while they still make them. No reason to get an APU for gaming.

Blast you industry. All the ideas i had through highschool are being implemented before i have the experience to do it myself.

Oh well at least i won't have to upgrade my cpu for a good while (8350 with a noctua nh-d14).

Wait for next Intel extreme editions, IPC on AM3+ and the quality of the motherboards leave a lot to be desired.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

They never said or confirmed that they were done with the FX line.

No reason to get an APU for gaming.

APU = CPU + GPU

By that statement, there's no reason to buy Intel CPU's either since they're all "APUs" with onboard graphics.

Summary: GO TO 37 Mins MARK.

post-16358-0-12417600-1387549926.jpg

He also stated 39mins Mark.

1. 8350 might beat 4770k
"Eyeballing it.....I can't tell you which one is faster. But i think 8350 might beat it because it is a true 8 cores"

2. underclocking the cpu on 8350 down to 2Ghz , still GPU bound

"Machine still running the same frame rate even after chopping frequency in half."

this is crazy....

The gameplay that they are showing is pretty cool and like how everything is different and operated differently and it runs pretty smoothly with the help of Mantle. :)
