What should I download when I get my PC?

My dad's friends is gona build a PC for me(dad doesnt trust me <_<) and he is gona already install windows 8 on the ssd once he builds it. Im gona be mainly using this PC for gaming and outside of gaming only stuff like LTT, YT, gmail and not much else.

 

So I'm thinking Im gona download:

 

Steam

Nvidia GPU Boost 2.0, Geforce Experience and Shadowplay

Games that im gona get off of Steam

Nexus Mod Manager (if I get Skyrim)

Razer Synapse 2.0(have to do this for my mouse)

Skype

 

thats all that comes to my mind so far. anything else thats gaming oriented or anything to do with the programs above that is worth downloading?

Firstly, download all your windows update and then go into to store and download the 8.1 update :D.

 

then start looking at usefull things

Microsoft security essentals

CCleaner

Chrome

Drivers (obv)

misc programs

I always get Eclipse,Visual Studio,League and PoE.

Oh yea forgot to say that I'll of course download all the updates that ill immediately get and the windows 7 lasyout for windows 8 as i probably wont like the 8 layout

i agree with getting games. get those, i heard they are fun. since u like virus'(skype) maybe u download more ram.
shadowplay is part of geforce experience which comes with your drivers just so you know (or vice versa i cant rememebr)

im actually quetioning getting skype. i dont even know what id use it for. i have like 3 people on skype atm that i dont even talk to now(only irl). and they all play games that i will never play(wow,lol and stuff like that)

GPU Boost 2.0 isn't software that's just the same of the boost feature built into GTX 7xx series GPU's. GFE is included with all new Nvidia drivers and Shadowplay is integrated into GFE. Also as others have said just go to ninite.com, check the things you want and download it as one big installer.

If you're getting skyrim then i recommend Mod Organizer over nexus mod manager.

oh ok least it saves a lot of time and i dont have to download em independently :). i dont think ill bother with skype. got noone to talk with anyway lol :P
