This game seems interesting though at the same time pretty complicated.

I think I'll pick it up once it comes out on PC but, that's a long way from now so, I might just get a PS 4 PRO just because it has some games I'd like to play. damn you exclusives

 

Would you guys recommend this game? I'd love to hear some opinions about it.

I'm waiting for it to come out. It's one of the games I'm looking forward to and seems to be so far so good. I'll have to wait till it comes out for PC. It's such a long wait ugh. 

 

I don't have a PS4 Pro. I hope the port to PC goes well and that the controls are okay.

MHWorld is like any of the Mh series, a new version. Its just that this version is on a much more capable platform.

 

If you've never played a MH game then it will have a steeper learnign curve than ur likely used to.

 

Combat is akin to Darksouls games.

 

That being said Mh World is apprently the freindliest gameo f the series to new comers.

 

Vs Mhtri, it does not have underwater combat.

 

I myself have played some of the previous titles, MHF, MHFU, MHTri, MH3U, MH4U and MHGen.

 

looking forward to the PC release of MHW. And yesi  recommend it, even without playing it, all the 'main' Mh games have been great so its safe to say ill like MHW, reviews of it also come with high praise.

 

EDIT: FYI, custom build versions of Citra (3DS/n3DS emulation) work well with MH4U and MHGen if ur interested in trying them out on PC. Look for Sickc latest builds.

I've played a little bit of Dark Souls and, I put some hours in Nier: Automata as well and, I liked the combat in those games so, that's why this got me curious.

I got into the MH series via my PSP 1000 many years go.

Family had a Wii not long after so i was also able to try that version also.

Got a n3DS MH4U edition just over a year ago 2nd hand.

 

But as soon as any of them were emulatable(they all are now), i went straight to PC since u can render them at much higher resolutions as use a proper controller.

I never played Tri, but I played the first one back on the PS2.

 

Definitely a huge improvement since that time.

Though, I am still early into the game.  Compare to the first one, far easier to get into and start.  At least the first big monster I fought (Great Jagra) was a decent challenge but doable in single play.  As someone who has less time to play games, I like they made the game with less grind.

 

I really wish Capcom bring the Monster Hunter XX on the Switch to the States, but so far they stated no plans at the moment.
