I have found alot of things in the internet but they are probably lie to tell you that you can actually see 8k resolution to help the industry of gaming.

the higher the resolution the more that virtual image will carry the level of detail your eye sees on real images, so getting higher and higher always is good... but 8k gaming is stupid to be consider yet.

Depends though on the size of the screen. A 21" 8K display would be ridiculous but a 32" screen is more reasonable. Oh and also distance from the monitor.

 

For gaming it is way to early to consider though. 4K has just become like do able-ish on high end GPU's.

Things don't appear blocky or not at certain resolutions... The important thing is PPI-Pixels Per Inch; See the techquickie video on Retina iirc.

 

It explains this well but a nice quick analogy is which will look better? a 100" 1080p Display? a 5" 1080p display? The 5" will better. Also look at say a 48" 4k vs a 24" 1080p; it'll be the same. ect ect. PPI is what matters.

If your question is "can we see 8k" the answer is yes.  

 

The gaming industry isn't effected by 8k at All, no one other than hardcore photo/video editors has a use case and it's almost literally impossible to game at the res.
