Twitch and Disney Partnering Up?

So this is something terrifying, amazing, and crazy all at the same time, wondering what everyone is thinking about this recent news. It is terrifying to me, just because how much Twitch(Amazon) is starting to try to take over the market, and I am not sure what to think about it, because its amazing because Youtube has been screwing up very big recently, and maybe this will bring good competition. But crazy because I am not sure what it exactly means, I am hoping that it doesn't mean that these four Youtubers can only use Twitch, and whatever Twitch gives them to use. But at the same time it kindof looks like it might because of the Twitch/Disney partnership to create a new video producing tool for Twitch, or at least from Techcrunch they say

I don't know what to think, figured this should be posted here, and I just want to see and hear other peoples thoughts on it.

Disney has a Streaming Service coming in 2019, but the ones they own under their different properties are all thought of as pretty bad. Now Twitch/Amazon are making digital content deals, even if Internet space, with Disney. I wonder if Disney is buying IP from Amazon for their streaming service.

Oh that is something that would be very interesting to know, see. Especially if Disney buys and trades IPs with Amazon. It would be very interesting to see, especially if say with their Movie Streaming Service you can possibly get to watch more of their exclusive movies on say Amazon, while you can watch every Disney movie on Disney's personal service.

The frick are you talking about?  Disney saved Star Wars!  The prequels were terrible (in comparison to the originals)!  Now, the sequels are coming out and they're freaking amazing!  Episode VIII just felt so much like Star Wars, which is something the prequels never did for me.

Disney has EOL'd most of their products to Netflix and I think pretty much all of them will return by the middle of 2019. We've known Disney was going to do a full service "soon" for a while, but Amazon already has a full CDN and a huge chunk of IPs. It would strike me as those IPs being the bigger issue for Disney than anything else. If the supposition is correct, then the deal was probably finalized last year, and there's certain side parts to the agreement, as Amazon has to have some actual reason to do the deal.

The originals are greatly overrated. The prequels were just as good, if not better in case of 2 and 3, and the sequels are nothing special.

 

And it's all garbage in comparison to the (older) games and the books.

Umm...No. Ep 1 was abysmal. 2 was "better" but still pretty bad. 3 was okay, but too much was crammed into it and it felt like a mess. The OT isn't perfect but they have held up so well over the decades for a reason. The new movies are.....Okay. Rogue One is probably the best, but the conflicts between director and studio are pretty evident on screen. Eps 7 and 8 are both enjoyable and that's about it.

 

As for the game and books: Lucas fucked the EU hard. Pretty much everything after the Vong War was shit and Legacy of the Force fucking murdered the EU. Earlier was a mixed bag. Some really good stuff and some really bad stuff, mostly just kind of enjoyable reads. I like the way the old EU took a lot of the characters more than the new movies, so there is that. Game wise, outside of KOTOR I wouldn't see most of the games had good plots so that really isn't a valid argument.

I wonder if they're going to encourage youtube Maker network creators to move over. I mean youtube kinda set itself up for something like this to happen lately I was just saying like yesterday that there's no reason why Amazon wouldn't compete with youtube directly, other than they don't. Well now with Disney on board (if this is even real don't get me wrong) maybe that'll change.
