Hey guys, im upgrading from a i5 6600 to a i7 7700k, im currently using a PSU that is 550W, its a Corsair cx550 (Grey model). Will it be enough? no OC or anything like that, just at stock speeds.

Thanks!!! :)

A 7700K and 980Ti might draw up to 450W if you seriously OC. You're fine.

I have a 5820k and a 980ti and with them both overclocked I was pulling over 600w so I think a 550 should be fine especially if you are not overclocking at all.

System Specs

CPU: I7-5820k   MOBO:Asus X99 strix   RAM: 32gb corsair Dominator Platinum 2666mhz   GPU: Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980TI  PSU: Corsair RM1000i

I'd imagine you were reading that with a Kill-O-Watt or similar? 600W from the wall would make sense with that but 600W draw directly from the PSU with that setup makes no sense. A 980Ti I think can draw a max of like 375W while a 5820K really shouldn't be drawing more than 200W with a crapton of OC.
