Berosar

I have an NZXT S340 elite case and theres only one cable left that isnt plugged in and it has a plastic cover. The fans and lights are working but i havent plugged in my monitor/keyboard/mouse yet. I have no idea where that one cable is for and where it should go. the port looks like a usb but fatter in the width and it just has one stripe as a hole  if ya know what i mean. cant find it in the manual but im probably just blind. help pls.

Connect it to your GPU out the back of the case. It's an HDMI for the front panel HDMI connector for use with VR headsets. You could also leave it unplugged if you do not have a VR headset and don't plan on getting one.

It's a front end HDMI connector, to make the (front/top/side/bottom) HDMI connector work. Ease of acces and all, although I bet you want your monitor cables just connected trough the back.

You could connect this cable to a free HDMI port on your GPU. (somehow run the cable to the outside/back, and plug it in) If you don't intend to use your front-end HDMI connector, don't bother plugging it in.

Again, you could not plug it in. You could get a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter for it, or you could just run it out the back of your case and plug it into your GPU.

Have you used it? I did and it works great and its not expensive. It's not modular but thats not an issue because I have enough space to dump the cables. It did have a 20+4pin connector instead of 24pin but it all works fine and it was cheap.

And what does it mean that it works great? That you've hooked it up to a load tester and an oscilloscope? And that you've checked the internal components?

Or just that it hasn't exploded yet?

Reviews are a thing. The CX450 shouldn't cost much more, and is a decent unit.

Not the worse, but far from the best....

But some warning signs:  230V only.  Double forward, group regulated.  No 80 PLUS certification.  Made by "Shenzhen UT Power Technology".....

That's the funny thing about PSUs.  They work... until they don't.  And sometimes when they die, they kill other hardware.  There's a reason why some PSUs are cheap and others are expensive.

White Castle is cheap.  Ruth's Christ is not.  They both serve beef. They both fill your stomach.  But only one will give you the shits in a couple hours....

I checked the internal components, my pc is not loud and it hasn't exploded. I've read reviews before buying it and most said it was a great budget psu and it simply does the job. why are so many people in love with corsair....

People aren't "in love" with Corsair.  Thermaltake makes good PSUs too.  You just bought the worst one.  ANY other Thermaltake PSU is better than that one.

If these were known to explode five minutes after they were installed, Thermaltake would be out of business.  Come back in 3+ years when the PSU's warranty is up.

You read reviews?  From who?  Other end users that probably know even less than you?  There are no legitimate reviews from actual PC hardware reviewers anywhere on the Internet (that I know of) of that PSU.  Why?  Because Thermaltake KNOWS that it's garbage and would not score well and never sent out review samples.

Pack it up and send it back.  I'm "in love" with a Thermaltake TR2 RX or TR2 Gold or, even better, something with the "Tough Power" branding.  But I'm NOT "in love" with the TR2 S Series.

Those are absolutely crap. About as bad as Amazon or Newegg reviews. Have you seen the build lists there? Those guys know nothing about PSUs.

This is a mentality that grants teenagers higher car insurance costs.

"I'm invincible and it won't happen to me!"

You better hope you're invincible. That unit is absolute crap. It can't even run on a 120V AC, meaning don't bother bringing your PC to North America, or really anywhere that uses 120V ACs standard.

Wait what...when did Thermaltake cheap out on the TR2 series, and introduce an 80 PLUS "white" version?

I thought the TR2 series was 80 PLUS Bronze minimum by now?

There are a number of TR2 series.  From White to Gold.  Essentially anything that's not Toughpower.

The one that the OP has isn't even 80 PLUS White.  It's 230V only, so if it got any 80 PLUS, it would have to be 80 PLUS 230V.

To be blunt:
You don't know nothing about stuff, have to ask about an HDMI cable but doesn't want to listen to what people who know their stuff have to say about your Powersupply.

Why do you do that?! WHY don't you listen to them telling you the PSU you have right now isn't a good idea and can destroy your Hardware?!

And even under "Brand Names" there are some really shitty PSU on the Market. Why do you believe in the Manufacturer when there is no reason for that?!

There's a difference between Reviews and Benchmarks.

Review on newegg:

"Hey I bought this 4770K and I OC'd it to 4.4ghz, this CPU is great! Runs cool with the stock heat sink!"

Benchmark

"You'll reach +4.5 GHz real fast. But sure, be advised and get some proper cooling to achieve and maintain acceptable temperatures. The bottom line is that once you pass 1.30 Volts on the processor, heat becomes an issue real fast. "

Source

Now to be fair, three years ago when I built mine I never would have though "Oh hey i need to look up how well this PSU's performs" I would just make sure the wattage was okay and buy what was a reasonable price. (How I got stuck with a CX600m) but that's not the mentality you really should have. This forum section helped me realize that
