That card is worth about 100$ right now used because you shouldn't even be able to buy it for MSRP atm. 

 

Your friend is a total moron people like that should stick to PS4's and Xbox's they are safer. 

 

Tell him to return it and go buy a PS4 and some games and be thankful if they actually let him return it, and don't just call him a moron and refuse to take it back, which to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if they do as they have probably been trying to sell that card for the last 3 years and couldn't at the outrageous price.
