I think some of you might find this quite interesting.

I knew that a lot of crypto companies use analog methods to create a part of each key, but I didn't know Cloudflare uses lava lamps.  If that isn't retro cyberpunk, then I don't know what is.

I think this is quite a great way to do crypto, and it also shows how easy it can be to make your own personal crypto key setup, I think I would personally use a few layers of analog (camera looking through a kaleidoscope, and the kaleidoscope looking at a lava lamp, and each image is modified by a audio stream from a microphone outside my window by a tree).  

 

What do other people think of this?

I thought about making a post about it last week, but my sources were only in german... so no real help here =)

 

Thanks for digging up an english one, because creating crypto hashes with this method is plain awesome.

it isn't the lava lamps are truly random and changing a single pixel will change the entire code.

they also don't only use lava lamps in the UK they use something else and it Singapore they use radioactive decay.

its sealed in a box and you would likely get more from X-rays than standing there for a year.

Us Canadians don't see much in the way of Rays :P Esp if you're not by a window or a window with direct sunlight (like me), Singapore on the other hand is near the equator which means someone who has a 9-5 job will get Rays before and after work, not to mention the hazards in doing such work. I'll still take lava lamps, because if they break you dont have to run for your life xD
