$1400 to spend on tech stuffs!!! Any ideas??

So I just got $1400 to spend on whatever I want!  I love tech, so what should I get!  Any ideas??

Depends on what you have at the moment, if I had to 1400 buckaroos to spend willy nilly I would get a full microphone set (mic + XLR interface + mount), a set of closed back headphones and an AMP/DAC setup. But that is because I am happy with my other peripherals, monitors and PC.

Buying stuff just to buy stuff? Why?

It's obvious you're not buying something because you need it or you wouldn't be asking. Save/invest your money, one day you'll be happy you have $1400+ put aside for when you really need it. Sure, that's not as "exciting" but it's a way smarter choice than buying something you don't need.

If you can’t think of something fun now, then just save it and wait for something to come up like going to a concert or the movies w friends

Great, so just sit on the money until something you actually need or find worth it comes up. If you don't know what you want to spend it on then it's clear that you don't have anything worth spending it on yet.

 

Or use to get do some traveling. Is there anywhere you've always wanted to go but never could? Now's your chance.

You -could- get a 1080 Ti and a 1440p monitor, if that floats your boat. You could also invest in a high quality audio setup

What do you have already tech-wise? As in, what do you want/need, or would be handy to have? Or you could always build a dope rig as a secondary for a friend (I'm building a rig for a friend, and it's gonna be watercooled and everything so it should be fun!)

You could get a new phone if your current phone is on it's way out

You could build a fully custom loop for your build and then add some rgb strips, rgb fans, an rgb res, rgb cpu and gpu blocks and rgb everything else that can be rgb.

I'm 35.  Plenty old enough to know when money is free for spending rather than saving.

Just built a rig for a friend to actually!  That's a good idea tho!  I have plenty of friend that are in need of an upgrade!

Well that changes everything. I thought you were some kid about to spent mommy and daddy's money.

 

Next step: what are your interests? I know this forum is focused on PC building, but is that what you are looking to use the money on, or are there other tech that interests you.

I'm a bit of an audiophile, but though of spending that money on a soundboard or headphones just makes me sleepy.  Maybe an effects processor or something?  I don't know.  That's part of the problem...when it comes to spending money on myself, I find it very hard to pull the trigger.

Your PC seems great. If anything (and if you game a lot/want to have the best experience possible), upgrade your GTX 1060 to a GTX 1080 or 1080TI. If you're content (and I would be! That's a great machine you got there), save your money! Maybe start looking into basic personal investments that you or your children (or family) can use later on in life!
