Breath of the wild was so cool, I finished it today and it made my cry, that last bit with zelda saying "If you dont mind me asking... do you really remember me?"

Game looks boring IMO

I'm glad you enjoyed the ending. I thought it was underwhelming myself. Did you get the bonus ending as well? It happens after the "The End" card? I think you needed to just collect all the memories for it.

 

I have mixed feelings for this game because they changed the Zelda formula with open world mechanics, something I'm not really fond of. Definitely one of the better open world games, but nevertheless still a detraction from me. And the lack of proper dungeons. Nevertheless I still enjoyed it so yeah, mixed, leaning toward positive.

It's a good game but I don't think it's a great game, and I feel it's massively overhyped. I really enjoy the exploration and especially the climbing mechanics, but the game feels so unfinished to me. Like it's scaffolding for what could have been a truly great Zelda game. The shrines would be amazing as side quests but I don't like them replacing the dungeons. The art style is cool but I miss the great music from earlier Zelda games. It almost feels Ubisofty with the hey let's hide 900 korok seeds. I think I agree with Jim Sterling's 7/10 review since I consider 7/10 a good game that's fun but not a great game (that's 8/10 in my book) or a must play (that would be 9/10).

Of the Zelda games I have played, I think I'd rank them:

 

1. A Link to the Past  (10/10)

2. Ocarina of Time  (9.5/10)

3. Zelda 1  (9/10)

4. Zelda 2  (8.5/10)

5. Breath of the Wild  (7/10)

6. Twilight Princess  (3/10)

 

My Twilight Princess score sounds pretty harsh but it felt like a slog playing through the first 3-4 hours or so and I couldn't make myself play any farther. I bought that game in 2008 or 2009 for my Wii and have attempted a playthrough of it at least five times and I always got bored to death by it within those first 3-4 hours. But it's not a broken game so I'll give it at least 3/10.

BOTW so low on the list? Quite surprised actually. I'd happily put it at no.2 ;) Majora's Mask has always been my favorite. Just love the story so much.
