US Pricing is $70/yr for Personal

About time you Canadians caught up.

Only in Canada I'm assuming. Maybe because 1 CAD = 0.80 USD.

I have to assume you are right that this is the reason.  However, if so, I have to applaud Microsoft for being kind since they could easily have justified bumping the price 2 years ago, and to a greater degree than they have.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I just wish they'd just bundle Office to Windows but I know it's just mere wishful thinking

They kinda do when you buy a new laptop. Unfortunately it's only good for 365 days!

Speaking of US pricing, the chart you showed me with $10/month for 2 TB and $1/month for 50 GB... was that US?  Because if so I'd be curious to know the Canadian pricing of course so we can compare properly :P

Yes, it is.  So it's $13/month or by extension $156 per year for 2 TB... It was more expensive than the office plan on a per TB basis, but now is ever so slightly cheaper.  That said, important to remember you're getting Office with this too, and there's always the much cheaper 5 person plan if you need more space.

So given that a lot of people have their own NAS setups, why not use that for  "cloud storage"? That would the best value for cloud services - although you do need to maintain it yourself...

Spoiler

Corsair 400C- Intel i7 6700- Gigabyte Gaming 6- GTX 1080 Founders Ed. - Intel 530 120GB + 2xWD 1TB + Adata 610 256GB- 16GB 2400MHz G.Skill- Evga G2 650 PSU- Corsair H110- ASUS PB278Q- Dell u2412m- Logitech G710+ - Logitech g700 - Sennheiser PC350 SE/598se

Is it just me or is Grammar slowly becoming extinct on LTT?

Unless it's off-site it doesn't count as a cloud replacement, just a glorified external HDD

Maybe some people don't have fast enough upload speeds? (As in when you're accessing the NAS from an 'external' computer, not uploading to the server/NAS).

Best to have an off site backup in case of natural disaster, fatal power surge, etc.

It's a cloud replacement if I can access it over the interwebz.

I just wish they'd stop calling it Office 365

You pay for a year licence every year. There are 365 days in a year. ~365.25 if you want to be technical.

That's not the issue - the issue is this:

Office 365 (retail) - Office 365 (Business / Enterprise)

Office Home - Office Business / Office ProPlus

OneDrive - OneDrive for Business

Skype - Skype for Business Online

And so on..
