no 7 serise had 3. 750ti, 760ti, and 780ti

You actually believe this? Every one knows what is going to happen, 1080's and 1080ti's going to increase pricing more likely for the premium, there are shortages and stupid prices every where already and while nVidia should be trying to catch up with the actual 1070's and 1080's they are starting a whole new from zero, this is going to worsen the market even further.

I think a regular Vega chip would work out better if a) they didn't apply an aggressively high voltage (I know that its set that way to ensure better stability but undervolting shows some great results in heat and power) and b) more bandwidth/faster HBM stacks as that seems to effect Vega more than clock speed. As far as I'm aware, Vega 54 performs very similar if not faster than the stock 64 if the HBM is OCed and the cores are undervolted.
