So just wanna know how to put raid 1 with a sandisk 120 gb ssd and 160 seagate hard disk in gigabyte gah61ms2ph mother board in windows 10 for redundacy. not sure if the question is right or applicable thanks alot. Problem is that your SSD will be only as fast as the HDD when it comes to writing data. This is because you'd be writing data to both drives at the same time in RAID 1, and the HDD of course is WAY slower than any SSD out there. I would install your OS on the SSD and see if you can get another HDD, then setup a Software-based DrivePool similar to RAID 1 where both the HDDs are mirrored. I never recommend hardware RAID under any circumstances. Also, RAID IS NOT A BACKUP. Posted October 10, 2017 Just use your SSD without any RAID and turn on File Histroy in Windows for your documents and folder that you find valuable/important. That way you can keep fast performance of SSD, and have true backup for those things that you want to have protected.
