Gotta buy an AIO, what's it gonna be?

Sup guys

So, as the title says I really am in need of a AIO because it seems my air cooler isn't cutting it at stock, even.

Making a custom loop is out of the question.

I'm going for a 280mm. Possibly a Kraken X62 or a Corsair H115i. They seem to perform pretty much on par but I'd like to know what you guys think.

I'm open to suggestions, money is no object. I'm looking for performance, but a good warranty would also be great and the less spaghetti coming from the socket, the better

Yeah, I'm more inclined to the NZXT too.

If you want a quieter rig look at a Dark Rock Pro 3 or a Cryorig R1. SImilar to AIOs but quieter and usually cheaper.

The Dark Rock Pro 3/Cryorig R1 perform only a bit better than my current cooler. Plus neither can fit in my case so yeah...

But thanks anyway.

I think Corsair stopped using those GT/GTX nomenclatures. So, if I'm not mistaken, the H115i is the best cooler they have.

the AK predator 240 peforms better than any AIO (including 280s and 360s) so you could look at that one if its available, otherwise get a nzxt x62, i have the x61 and i never turn the fans above the minimal 25% mark (also have s340) just keep in mind that you let your gpu choke on that hot air if you ahve it as intake. Theoretically you could stick with your currenbt cooler and delid and relid with liquid metal if you are willing to do that with a proper tool

That sounds really good but can't find it anywwhere. Not even in the EKWB store. End of life, it seems.

As for your setup, do you have it as intake? I already thought about it and came to your exact conclusion: my card is going to boil in there. But having it as outtake and the upper and back (unfiltered) fans as intake seems like a really bad idea for the card too.

>Theoretically you could stick with your currenbt cooler and delid and relid with liquid metal if you are willing to do that with a proper tool

Fuuuuck no. I'm not going to risk the warranty on my cpu.

Thanks for the suggestions man.

Looks pretty cool (literally), but that whole installation guide makes my pee pee shrivel in fear a bit. Plus I don't think my case has brackets to install the pump, unfortunately.

every AIO is silent if there is nothing wrong with the pump, obviously you have to have a custom fan curve for the fans, the Arctic liquid freezer 120,240,360 are also well priced. But if he can fit a 280 rad he should also get a 280 one, the nzxt x62 stock fans are better than the corsair ones imo

well not really, i mean a few bucks more compared to a 240, the cheapest 280 is the h110 or h115 atm, but you dont have the RGB bling liek the x62. IF you are willing to take the risk you can get an Enermax AIO for much cheaper but a lot of people have had units with too much air in them or simply leak after a few months. the cheapest good watercooler from a brand i trust would an ARctic liquid freezer (comes with push pull config, but you wont be able to run that in an s340 without removing the cable management bracket

Honestly I don't give a fugg about rgb crap. Just want a reliable and great performing aio. The X62 seems better than the H115i on paper so that's why.

Actually the H115i performs slightly better than the X62, but it's a matter of 1-2%.

X62 looks better but it's more expensive. I suggest changing the stock fans on either of them anyway for better performing ones.

H115i + Noctua Industrial PPC 3000RPM PWM Fans or the Corsair ML140 Pros would be my choice.

Yeah, I did read something about the H115i having slightly better performance just yesterday. I do know Corsair's warranty is pretty good and they pay if anything leaks, but does NZXT do the same? I'm wondering if anyone had the experience. If anything, that'll be the decisive factor after performance.

And yeah, I'll eventually replace the stock fans with some noctuas or some deltas.

Yeah, I've seen some reviews and it looks like it performs really good in its class but it's only a 240mm radiator and I think it is too thick to get in my case.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

I'm using an H110i GT (Currently the H110i? Or did they change it to H115i? Gah...) with Noctua iPPC fans, it's quiet, performs well, and I haven't had any issues for a couple years. (Though the first one I got was an early batch unit with a lighting problem. They replaced it.)

I would suggest the EK Predator 280, but it looks like they killed that product to make way for a new series but haven't come out with the new one yet. Why they did something stupid like that, I have no idea...

I do think the H110i GT is the current H110i and the H110i GTX is the current H115i, although I could be wrong.

Anyway, just read the NZXT warranty and even though it's 6 years (1 year more than Corsair's) they don't take responsability in case some component gets wetter than it should... Uh scratch that, as it seems NZXT has the same exact policy as Corsair.

Anyway, if the Corsair is indeed the best cooler I guess I'll go with it.
