Sadly It was cool and now its just... well not useful. Many youtubers have stopped using OSx like freddiew. I could help you find some more options. Oh btw 1 gb of ram on a video card wont be able to run the "Retina Screen" well. True but I mean if you can bench both Msi and Macbook with a similar bench that runs on both. You can already tell the Msi with a higher end GPU will push harder. The "So many people" as you have called them are probably people who buy a $2000 mac and just use it for email and facebook.
