Voxel's Box v1 - First Custom Loop Build Log

Hello, Im finally writing the build log for my first custom loop. This is the version 1.0 of the PC. Version 2.0 will come in a couple months when I can afford the 1080ti that I originally planned on.  Ill do my best to present this in a digestible way, though I do tend to write a lot! (BTW I havent had time to find an LED color scheme I like, so I've just left it at default rainbow.)

The reasoning and backstory:

Im a 3D generalist who loves PCs, so I decided to build a new PC, more as a fun project than something out of necessity.  I wanted to do lots of custom things, including hardline tubing, custom sleeving, and painting.  I chose the PC-09 because I liked the dual chamber design, build quality, and HDD support.  All of the storage came from my old PC. 

The story:

I started researching parts back in May, and ordered all of the watercooling and sleeving parts first, since they would have the longest shipping times. I then sold my then current PC, and used that money to buy the CPU, motherboard, ram, and case. After that, I bought the remaining fans, leds, and misc parts over the next few weeks. I was working on sleeving and case modding while waiting on parts, and the sleeving definitely took the longest out of any stage of this process. I only did the 24pin so far.  I will do the four 8 pin PCIE cables when I make v2.  I modeled some custom cable combs, and a friend printed them for me. I then painted them silver. When I finally started bending tube, I managed to do it all in one night, however, disaster struck!  The pump was dead!  So I ordered a new one (no rma for me, long story). It arrived 2 days later, and I started filling the loop again. And then the second disaster struck!  One of the 360 rads from EK was defective, and was leaking from the inside of the frame!  By the time I stopped the pump, it had gushed about a quarter liter of fluid.  No long term damage though.  EK responded to my RMA request immediately, and a new rad arrived 3 days later. After that it was smooth sailing. No further issues!

Due to some unforseen bills, the 1080ti was out of reach for now, but once I save up for a bit, I will replace the 1050ti, and redo the entire loop.  I plan on finishing all the custom cables, and finalizing cable management around back.  Im planning on using a parallel type loop once I add the GPU.

You 1050ti peasant. Go put a paper bag on your head and bury yourself. Nah but seriously, minus that gpu, this build is perfect. Defenitively saving that image to my iPhone. Mind if I ask you how much your watercooling cost in total?

Hahaha, yes, I know, it does seem a shame to use a 1050ti in a build like this. But it will be for as short a time as possible!  I cant wait to upgrade the gpu and rebuild the loop!  I kinda lost track of my spending (I tried, I swear!)  The approximate cost of the loop, including the sleeving supplies and tools, was about $1200 USD. One thing Im torn on is whether I should order the nickel backplate from EK (its what I wanted originally, but wasnt released at the time of purchase)  But is it worth another $60 or so for the shininess??
