What a difficult question.  I'm not sure what metric to use.  Some games are short-lived but leave their mark in terms of the excellence of those experiences.  Other games may not be so captivating moment to moment, but entertain at a steady pace for tens, hundreds, maybe even thousands of hours.  Which is better?  When I query my brain for a response, nothing leaps forward, I always need to think hard about it.  So, that being said:

 

1. Portal 2.  This would be a game from the former of the above quality metric, between multiple playthroughs and co-op I've only racked up 20 hours, which is what some people game in 2 days.  Still, I rank it among the best, most concentrated gaming experience of my life.

 

2. Call of Duty: United Offensive.  It was the FPS I spent the most time on, and adored.  It could be as chaotic and frenzied arena-style as the newer CODs, or tense, competitive, and strategic on the larger maps and hardcore game modes.  The annual sequel train has diminished this franchise, but I still nod to where it began.  Modern Warfare was pretty good, too.

 

3. Diablo 2. And this game is the latter of the quality metric.  Delicious, new millennium grindy monster-smashing loot-grabbing platinum over here.  I'm glad D2 didn't count my hours played like Steam does, I would just be embarrassed.

 

Honourable Mentions: Neverwinter Nights, Batman Arkham series, Total War games, Sid Meier's Civilization games, Elder Scrolls games, Dark Souls, and most first-party Nintendo games.

Seeing that i have approximately 1500h+ on record playing fallout new vegas, i guess it's on top of my list with that said:
