remove the X on the 1700, you can overclock it

Why X370 when you don't need SLI? The overclocking limit on almost all Ryzen chips is around 4GHz, maybe 3.9GHz. (But that was from March/April, don't know if it has changed much)

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Normally MSI GPu's are fine, but the armor variant.....

I've seen a lot of negative reviews about that specific aftermarket cooler (both nvidia and AMD chips). The Gaming X version is significantly more "quality", and even that is stretching it. There's a reason you dont see people recommending any MSI 1080ti's.....

Don't get a Corsair CX PSU for such a high end PC. I would recommend the Seasonic M12 II Evo for this build.

I understand that, you can go with them, but if something breaks its going to be the worst time of your life getting a replacement under warranty

imo u can swap out the 1700x with 1700 and also, a B350 mobo would do the job as Z370 and B350 has similar OC performance.

You might want to upgrade the SSD to 240GB one as 120GB is just barely enough (for me) if u are installing rendering softwares and AAA game titles.

Lastly, do you have LAN cable available where you are using your PC? If not you might want to go for a pcie wifi adapter :)

As for the motherboard choice, it looks sexy AF and in the future, if I wanted crossfire/SLI I would be able to do it. Also I'm fine with 120GB SSD, for now, I just want to install windows on there and a few other things. PCI-E WiFi was a good shout, I'm going to need that.

I may think of switching out the 1700X for 1700 but the 1700X is part of a bundle so they value is good - I will browse a few sites to see what I can save.

I do agree that motherboards with good aesthetics looks pretty darn sexy xD and yes if you are planning for SLI configs then go ahead with Z370 :) not bad of a mobo. And i am sorry i missed out that you bought them as a bundle. Good PC build there mate :D

Corsair as a brand isn't bad, but model from it does.

The green CX models aren't really made for higher end gaming rigs.

Even if they're at a good price, it's not worth risking the rest of your parts.

Check out the tier list here:

You want anything from tier 3 and up for gaming.

I recommend at least tier 2 if you want to overclock :)

Thanks for the help guys. Definitely going for the Ryzen 1700 as it comes with the stock cooler, just realised the 1700x doesn't come with the AMD Wraith Max which is annoying.

So I spent a while researching finding the best prices whilst also maintaining my desired red aesthetic, this is the build. I also switched to intel it was only £5 more then the AMD Ryzen 7 1700 counterpart and since I'm a gamer I've decided with Intel. What do you guys think, and can you help me decide on a powerline adapter?
