After thinking about it yesterday, after one of my uncles died, and one of my high school friends' dad died, I was like "this day doesn't feel good."

Perhaps it's just something that doesn't need a discussion? There are many ways to support him and his family through this difficult time; trying to force a discussion on the forums isn't one of them.

How is that tech related though? I personally feel something like this should be kept to himself, this sounds like a cheap way to try getting some good feedback forced on the audience's emotions, I would never expose the intimacy of my family solely to gain a couple of free likes.

 

But then again I'm probably this harsh because for me he has always been the least liked tech channel, all his qq about having won 2 free TITAN X Pascal wasn't enough because nVidia lauch the Xp and they only sent him free 1080ti's he made like 3 videos qq'ing about it lol.

Yeah but that's no reason to consider that he was looking for financial gain everyone handles this kinda thing differently and any shrink will tell you the best thing for it is to talk about it, you may not be one of them but he does have loyal fans who like his channel and he was just reaching out, nothing wrong with that.

My dad died when I was 11.  Can confirm it's a tough thing to go through. But it definitely makes you stronger, and is a changing point in life. 

Everyone should be patient and let Jay deal with it.  But there will come a time that it's too long, and it's important to remind people sometimes that despite all odds they need to continue forward.

 

Wish Jay all the best, hopefully he will recover on his own.  And do what he truly wants to do, whether it's YouTube or something else.  If Jay is ever able to read this or anyone else who has lost someone important.  

 

Focus on the path, channel your strength, and lead your life and do what you want to do. Teach your kid(s) to be strong willed, powerful and to roar like a lion.  We all go through tough shit but how we deal with it is the real test.  good luck.

Yeah. My Grandpa died when I was a kid, and I know my dad still misses him and hurts sometimes. To all the people saying he's going for free likes, I don't think Jay is that type of guy, and he's trying to reach out to his fans to explain what's going on, and get some support.

My great grandpa died last year and i get very emotional when people die I had to cut midway through he video trying not to sob.
