I feel like the extra performance that you would get after doing that wouldn't justify sacrificing some battery life and therefore usability.

Just pointing out it's the same with iPhones, but the OP has already said he's sticking with Android, I made my little blurb on why I love my iPhone, and I'll concede the point to avoid derailing the thread.

The 6S was a solid performance upgrade, and the SE isn't so much lazy, but Apple trying to make an iPhone for those still hangin on to their 4Ss, 5s, 5Ss, etc.

Your phone isnt designed to overclock my dude (not saying Samsung puts that much thought into SoC design, they just take an off the shelf part and plop it in. Unless its an Exynos model)

a few weeks ago they had a deal where you can trade in your current device + $100 off an unlocked S8 or S8+. atm the $100 off is gone, but you can still trade in. i think now they offer a $200 gift card

i was talking about the structural integrity, yes without a case it would be an issue.
