To all Canadians some RX 580s are at a reasonble price (less than $400) and  1060 6GBs too, man its been too long for this to happen buts its happening

Thats because the difficulty of mining Ethereum got made a LOT harder.

 

Those cheap cards are miners dumping their cards before the price of Ethereum completely crashes lol.

They won't be interested in cheap cards because they don't need them anymore.

And they'll already have seen the ethereum changes so know to sell their's anyway.

how do you know that it got a lot harder? I'm not a pro miner, but I do a little mining on my existing gpu's. I was wondering how to find out if it got harder or not because when I check my hash rate it still remains the same, thanks.

it's all about risk, most people will want to cash out early to minimize risk. That would cause it to decrease in value. Only time will tell what the value will be in the future.

Yes, and calls that it's crashing could well be premature. Reality is that we don't really know. There could be a rebound. While many gamers especially may like to see a crash, others are hoping for and some expect the opposite.
