Watercooling Parts

I am going to be liquid cooling in the Fractal Design Define Nano S, and I picked out a parts list on Performance PCs.com. Being new to watercooling though, I'd like to see if I have missed a crucial component or if something should be swapped out with something else.

Here's are the parts:Q3qnnEh.png

@byalexandr I know you were building a custom loop in the Fractal Design Define Nano S. How did that turn out for you?

Just going to leave this here, this is my drain port set up.

                                                                                                 Rest of Loop

                                                                                                           ||

                                                                                          Compression Fitting

                                                                                                           ||

Radiator (loop) ===  Male-to-male G1/4" rotary connector ==== T-splitter ====== Ball Valve ===== 45 degree fitting (not shown in picture) === Stop plug

This allows for me to quickly connect a tube and drain the loop. It can help if you have issues during the filling/bleeding/leak-testing it can save a bit of headache.

A few comments would be that Alphacool radiators are known to be pretty filthy so be prepared to do a through clean before attempting any assembly.

I think your compression fittings are not for the right tubing? As far as I know you have to match the ID and OD for compression fittings even for soft tubing (definitely the case in hard line)

Also I assume you are ordering CPU and or GPU blocks too? you will need fittings to go with them too.

Just so you know, you selected the incorrectly sized fittings. Please change your fittings over to 3/8" x 5/8". I would also highly recommend switching your tubing over to Mayhem's tubing, also making sure to select 3/8" x 5/8".

I am still working up to it, very expensive to do a stainless steel loop like I am. But I would look to this video, the same one that I used to figure out my tubing runs and pump/res/etc.

Here is a schematic: This will work with normal PETG and acrylic tubing as well. If you want flexible tubing like most others then you have a lot more wiggle room and choice of component placement.

Cost of parts for a stainless steel loop (excluding the cost of a tubing bender and other miscellaneous items like distilled water):

The only things I would change for soft tubing are to make sure you have the right size fittings to go with the tubing you choose. Pick a fairly small tubing diameter since working in the Define Nano S is tight.
