How far would you go?

To play a console exclusive? I bought a PS3 on ebay yesterday for 150$, for the sole purpose of playing GTAV -___-

Well I'm tempted to buy a ps3 for almost the sole purpose of playing Demon's souls, i can accept that from From. But for GTA V, nah I wouldn't.

Depends whether I get MGS5 on PC or not. [if it ends up like the Substance PC port then rather not.]

If I don't get it on PC, I'll have to buy a PS4 ^^'

If there's a game I really want to play, I'll buy the console. Bought the Wii for Skyward Sword and my PS3 for SoulCalibur V, will likely do the same this generation, probably because of the same titles.

i dont really recommend buying the old gen of consoles. i would recommend to get "X Boner wannabe" or "Slayfashion Fork"

since support for current gen consoles are going down I'd have gotten a ps 3 with firmware less than 3.5 for around R 3200- 3300

 

That said, I bought a second hand xbox 360 @ R 1400 for the soul purpose of playing naruto ultimate ninja storm 3 when it was released, now I got it on pc and my xbox is sitting at my parents house collecting dust.

I nearly pulled the plug on ps3 + beyond two souls + last of us. What stopped me is my current monitor can't do 1080 without scaling and getting a new monitor (was thinking of going 1440p) on top of ps3 is way too expensive.

I bought PS3 only for Gran Turismo 5. And I recently bought the 360 just for the exclusives, currently got Forza 2-4-horizon, Halo Anniversary-3, Crackdown 1-2, Gears of War 1-2, Dead Rising, And I'll probably get the rest too.

Got some exclusive for the PS too, Like ALL Gran Turismo games.

And you should get Red Dead Redemption too. It's a must have.

Well I bought an xbox 360 about two years ago just to play Gears of War series (actually got the GoW edition 360 as I loved the looks of it and the price couldn't be beat) but of course I did so knowing my son would get much more use out of it.

 

Personally I prefer mouse+keyboard controls and HATE the game controllers and for that reason alone I prefer the PC over any of the consoles.

i had a 360 until like 9 months ago when i forgot about gta v and i sold it to a friend for $100 to buy a gtx 660, i would have gotten abother instead of a ps3 but i didnt want to pay for online

I would go as far as not going at all in that direction.

 

GTA V was less intresting then SPAz coming out.

There are some console exclusives I've really enjoyed this generation (MGS4, Red Dead Redemption, Last of Us, GTA V*, Heavy Rain, and probably Two Souls) but I find that simply RedBoxing them for a week will give me my fill.  I do intend on buying a PS4 down the line since I expect some of the exclusives that were PS only will continue there.  Plus they do have the best baseball game.
