To be fair I'm in the same spot... there just haven't been many games that I look forward to as much or once that would keep me busy for an extended amount of time.

I don't know how you guys keep playing Skyrim. My drive for that game disappeared after I accidentally finished the main story line.

Take the break.  Honestly the best is to not get burned out.  A healthy individual is going to very their behavior a bit from time to time.  So right now you are not gaming as much, it happens, just enjoy the break.  Don't force yourself to finish a game just to finish it, let yourself start to miss it.

If you just let it been, you will find you miss games and likely go back and enjoy them more than if you worried so much about not playing as much.  I think it is very normal to go in phases.

Gaming just gets boring. Everything does. That is why you need to achieve the perfect balance. My own balance is mostly taken up by socialising, watching TV and on the internet (LTT Forum and chatting on Facebook). I play games only when necessary now because otherwise it gets dragged on and superfluously boring.

Compatible with Windows 95

Same here. I have been listening to music, working out, sleeping, cooking and just strolling around the forums. I do anticipate to game once more as I will upgrade my GPU.

that is how you roll with normal games not open world games or any game of the elder scrolls series.

who cares about the main story line? it's just a small accessory to the game, it's not game breaking to finish it because you shouldn't feel like you are done with the particular universe nor should you feel that you have accomplished that much, main story is just a part of the game, in short you shouldn't get any feelings of "closure" from it, and make more characters than 1!.

theres just so much to do!

That's why you hunt for different games, like Contrast, Reset, Strike Vector, Beat dodger, Super hot etc.

and im like that too btw .. i have a hard time sitting down to play a game regardless of how much i want to.

I actually did a lot of the side quests and wasn't rushing story at all, it's just when I beat the main story line I was kind of like... oh, alright

what's even the point anymore. Though Skyrim is the only sandbox game I've ever liked.

For me these days it has to be a title that I'd be so hyped up for to fully get into it.  The last one that did that was The Last Of Us because of its movie like productions and it didn't take that long to finish either.

I guess this is how it goes.  The older you get, the more real life grabs a hold of your time - even more so if you have kids.

These days my gaming is relegated to at most 2 hrs. a day, and even after grabbing a controller or mouse + K/b, I lose interest right away.  I'm just forcing myself to finish Assassin's Creed III right now, only starting it last weekend getting it a year late.  I don't even know what the hell is going on with the story.

Same thing happened to me. I've only just completed gta v and I got it on release day. Most games don't even appeal to me. It has to be in the top ten games of the year to entice me in any way. Or super good offer like humble WB. I've never played the batman series - been told it's good

If it's because of work and school, make sure that you are managing your time.  I don't mean spend all your time working, take some time to play (just don't take too much time).
