What is a good CPU for the GTX 760 2GB

Modern i3, G4560, or better.

Is that graphics card the only part you have right now? If so I'd suggest going with one of the R5 CPU's but how much is your budget for the overall system?

If his budget is really limited yeah I agree, but if his GPU is just something free or he got extremely cheap & only temporary I personally would go with a higher end CPU so that doesn't need to be upgraded anytime too soon.

Sell the 760 and ur old CPU (if u have one), get a 470 and a g4560

If you're on a tight budget the Pentium G4560 is unreal value. I can't remember ever seeing such a good gaming cpu for $60.

But if you can afford it for $230, the Ryzen R5 1600 is amazing value for a cpu that should last you a long time.

You can get the 1600 for like 200, the 1600x is like 240. No reason to get the x imo.

Nice, I hadn't seen the 1600 for less than $230 but I haven't looked in a few weeks I guess. Yeah the 1600x feels like a waste of money.
