Since my GTX 1050 TI SSC died, EVGA is letting me pick one out for free and I wanted to know the difference between the various GTX 1050ti cards.

GTX 1050ti (Single fan) (normal Ti?)

GTX 1050ti FTW ACX 3.0 (What does the FTW mean in terms of specs...?)

GTX 1050ti SC (Single Fan) (Obviously 'superclocked')

GTX 1050ti SSC ACX 3.0 (super superclocked?)

I know ACX 3.0 is their dumb cooling system...

Basically out of all four, which should I get? The FTW version has a larger PCB... I was gonna get the SSC version just because it is short enough to put my 650's cooler on...

Alternately I could get a refund and buy another GTX 950 FTW and SLI it with the one I already have...I've heard add 70%...

FTW>SSC>SC>Normal

The better the card the better the pcb as well as the higher the out of the box clock speeds. The SC and Normal probably have the same pcb though.

I would choose FTW, it's definitely the best one.

So FTW is better than SSC....Huh...So the GTX 950 FTW is better than the 950ti SSC?

Edit: The FTW is LESS expensive than the SSC...

SC one usually has worse power delivery and has a pretty much locked voltage usually. I'd say go for the FTW but the SSC versions are also okay since they are like the SC versions but clocked higher though idont know what kind ofp ower delivery they have

There's a slight difference between the clock speeds of the SSC and the FTW versions. Not much to make a huge difference. The FTW is back ordered, so I guess I'll get SSC...

He meant for 950 FTW, since it supports SLI

SLI is not worth it on entry level gaming cards.

If you play games that work well with sli, getting another 950 would be a decent option. Otherwise, 1050 ti.

its about overclocking capabilities not stock clock, if your card is 20mhz lower then just add that to the offset clock usually you dont need more voltage for those lower frequencies

I had my old 1050ti SSC at 2.25GHz and I bust a capacitor...twice...EVGA is letting me keep the old card, I just don't have a soldering iron small enough to fix it AGAIN.

With DifferentSLIAuto you can SLI two cards without a bridge.

we're talking about a 950 here, having an SLI set up with two 950's would make absolutely no sense.

The FTW uses a custom PCB and should overclock better. The SSC is just a higher clocked SC for people who don't want to manually overclock, and the SC is just a higher clocked normal card for people who don't want to manually overclock.

One of the reasons I liked the SSC was because it was the short PCB and I could fit my GTX 650's cooler on it. I also put a custom LED fan on it...lemme see if I can find a pic.
If I get the FTW, I'm putting the 950's ACX 2.0 cooler on it because it looks better...if it fits...

I don't care if you can get a used for for a $100 it still makes no sense to do on such a low-end card, you might as well look at used 960's or look at new 1060 6GB's.

Because it was still supported. However, few people SLI lower end cards and it's not really worth it. You could spend the same amount of money on the two cards as you would a single card and basically get the same performance.

Well, I mean sure, if you even can get there 70% MORE PERFORMANCE with 140% more headache.

70% is just what I've heard...I even said that in the OP...
