Only 1 provider wants to have me and they charge me €50,- a month.

That translates to like $65,- a month.

I can watch YouTube videos in 480P when I let it buffer for a while.

So many things I could write here... things like this.

I think that at my university I wouldn't have as many problem as Linus during the streams.

AND, I think if I had the equipment I could stream in 4K :D

It's not too bad I suppose... this is a good time of day, no one else seems to be using the internet right now in my neighborhood. :P

I got this internet connection early 2010. Back then I did 100/100 on Speedtest, and that made sense, because this is a supposed 100/100 Fiber. And now it does 50/40.

If anyone knows how to fix this, then please do tell.

My parents won't pay another €25 / 200SEK for 1000/1000. Seriously, this internet might be good compared to many that you see. But for a supposed 100/100 it's reaaally bad. Wish we could just get the 1000/1000.

I can basically copy the OP's test since our speeds and ISP are identical. (provisioned for 60/8, receive 58/8 regularly, avertised as 50/8. They do it to look good on charts, which is pretty scummy)

Would really love FiOS; but they never bothered to wire down my street.  Been down the road for the last 3 years, nothing I say to them will get coverage over here.  Really could've used it 2 years ago when I was suffering with my current ISP.  *sigh*

Any Google Fibre users around here? :P

I don't get the big deal with Google Fibre... 1Gbit/s has been available to the public for a reasonable price for 6 years. Google are really making it to be such a brand new and big deal haha :D

I had this speedtest done.

BUT, I downloaded Max Payne 3 a little after this, and I downloaded it at 786 Mb/s (98.3 MB/s) which tells me (with my basic networking skills) that since only 80% of the connection is usually used, I must have a 1Gb/s connection for download.

@Col Sorry but since I saw you hated me for my connection I had to post this ^^

120/10Mbps(that's what I'm paying for) + unlimited calls(Europe) + 144 TV channels(most of them in HD; HBO, Canal+ and Orange Sports that airs wrestling/mma PPVs for free) for ~$60.

That is some terrific value!

2682757028.png Im pretty happy with that. I dont upload much so that's not really a concern. Although gigabit would be nice (though im not on three year NBN rollout, and i cant see Labor winning so...)
