Is this a good time to buy a XPS 15 9560?

Hey guys there is an offer now on Dell where you get £150 cashback on XPS 15 and I can get student discount so the £1599 model ends up being £1289. I know that models change price a lot but do you think it could go down lower than that or should I go for that offer now?

I plan to use this laptop for at least 5 years for university but with i7 7700HQ, 16gb RAM and 4GB 1050 should do it for my use.

macbooks dont have gpus like this though, so that isnt the case. gaming pcs cost more than some macbooks but are far superior.

Exactly why I'm considering this instead of many others from Asus and even HP because of build quality but for future usability do you think this will last? Also I was thinking of waiting because maybe a new version will come out but surely it won't be at this price right?

Same build quality and screen sounds tough to find and believe me I've spent hours upon hours looking because I also thought I could find one but I haven't yet... any recommendations?

its really up to you, i mean if you plan on doing more work on it than gaming then go for whatever you want, a laptop wont really break unless you man handle it, so even if others have a lesser build quality it shouldnt really be an issue, but hey ho id sacrifice less quality for a better brand and a better gpu.

does that dell have an ssd too?

its generally overpriced and the systems they build are all oem, and you cannot upgrade them the majority of the time, and they own alienware which is overpriced to hell.

Lol.  I have a Latitude 7470 for work and an Alienware 13 for home.  Yes the alienwares are pricy but the Latitude? lol.  8 screws to get to the M.@ slots, RAM, and wi-fi card.

Alienware? 5 screws.

I don't know where you got the implication they were the windows version of macbooks, but they're not.  Outside of Alienware (they're overpriced but I got a decent deal on mine), they're only a LITTLE pricy, and what you're paying for in comparison to the cheaper manufacturer's is amazing build quality and support.

You want a brand to take a dump on, go to Razer.
