Good solo graphics card?

hey, guys, I'm upgrading my computer from two GTX 970's and I want to get a new graphics card I don't want to work with SLI anymore,  and I don't want to deal with any of the frame drops in the newer games. So I was wondering where is a good graphics card that can handle all the new games at 60+ fps for the best price. (please include specifics so if it's the 1080 list the specific model.) I'm running two monitors. Thanks for any help.

EDIT: preferred price range is ~$500

Just choose the 1080 and then choose a model that isn't a blower style and isn't a mini.

WINDFORCE, STRIX, AORUS and AMP! would do well though

No I really mean Volta, a SLI 970 is already crazy fast and you will not be satisfied with the performance gains from going with a single 1080, you need a GTX 2080 that's coming the end of the year.

if there's no difference why are these so different in price?

no point. 7700k is barely any faster than a 4770k which doesnt need a new mobo and ram

it doesnt really matter, there is literally less than a 5% performance difference. and either way cpus are different from gpus and will last much longer
