Noctua officially releases 200mm fan

psychostudent

Is Nocua the Chinese knock-off? :)

Yes, yes, yes I know it's just a small typing mistake. It's just that knowing the Chinese that would be exactly the name they would pick. Nocua.

A popular one would be the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv in all 3 variants of size. I think the Primo as well.

I personally think 200mm is a good compromise between noise and airflow but often not commonly found cause of the size

My old Cooler Master HafX used a few of them. Quietest case I have ever owned.

Oh well, I go tired of waiting on the 120mm x15mm thick fan and ended up getting this also ugly thing instead back in February.

At least is on the side that doesn't have a window.

I really wish more cases would use 200mm fans. They provide such good airflow at low RPM's. the only thing is they dont have good static pressure, but it'd be a case fan so who cares.

GPU's with open fans really benefit from large amounts of good fresh air like 200mm fans can provide.

Do you even fanboy bro?

I love that Noctua continues to stick to their classic color scheme. Hope they never change.

The color scheme is their branding. If you ever get a glance of a fan with those colors you instantly think "Hey, that's Noctua!"

I can't really think of any other fan that can be identified as easy as a Noctua fan. Any other brand is "Just a fan". That says something, right?

Yup. It says, "Those are awesome Noctua fans! But I'll never buy them because I can't put them in my glass case and feel good looking at them."

They're great for a case without a window or a server or something, but the color doesn't really match any builds I've ever seen. And I'm a stickler for color matched builds.

Just do like me and get the non-windowed Define R5.

It's cheaper and more sound isolated than the windowed version too. So it's benefits all around.

hey nice, now if they could just make a new cooler to put that on...

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

What's with the color anyways? They're nice fans, but pretty much every budget, mid, or high range case has a side panel, and most people's build aren't based off the poo emoji color scheme.

But.... RGB! Custom water cooling loops! Showing off overkill to everyone!

@LinusTech any chance of an LTT Edition NF-A20?

Edit: For that matter, any chance of the return of LTT edition NF-F12's...?

That's are a different series, currently those don't exist for the fans they just released.

I actually like the colour. It goes well with Black and silver surprisingly.

That low profile fan might come in handy if the small case trend continues. The 200mm fan seems quite pointless to me.
