how to wire up the motors on quadcopter to spin the correct way

Legolessed

i was wondering if there was any special trick to making sure that your esc's and bushless motors were spinning the right way. on all my planes i just put bullet connectors so that i could swap them and be done if i messed up but i was wondering if there was an easy way to know. i just have 6 black wires. 3 coming from the motors and 3 coming from the esc's on my quadcopter. also on a quadcopter which motors need to be spinning clockwise and which counter clockwise. any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Just plug them in and hope for the best, if it's spinning the wrong way switch just two cables. That's what I do. Take off your prop and put some tape on the bell housing it's the easiest way to see the rotation direction.

Keep in mind that is OpenToilet, betaflight configuration is a bit different. It goes

4         2

     X

3         1

If you're running BLHeli ESCs, you can get the BLHeli chrome app where you can change the motor direction and some other more advanced settings. Just take your props off, plug in a battery, then connect to your computer.
