I don't know how to plug front panel interface. No manual for the motherboard.

I'm trying to plug in my front panel interface. But I don't have a manual for my mother board. What do I do?

What mobo is it? You could probably find a manual for it online.

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

Do this:

And make sure you do it by hitting the quote button at the bottom left of my post, and not the one inside the editor!

Or this:

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

The manual should tell you which pins go to which wire.  What motherboard is it?  maybe we can help more if we have more information.

Please keep it to this thread only.  No need to make another thread for the same topic

If you look veerrrryy carefully at the labels on the header, you can find out which connector goes where. For example, it says "Reset" on the bottom right, the reset connector goes there. On the bottom left, it says "+ HDD_LED -" meaning the black wire goes on the right pin and the not black wire goes on the left pin of that spot.

Orientation matters not for switches. It does matter for LEDs.

I love you.. but do I plug it in vertically or horizontally?

Download the manual from this link. https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97_EVO_R20/HelpDesk_Manual/

Go to page 1-41 Diagram is shown on where to plug them in. The positive side of the connector will usually have an arrow indicating its positive. If system does not boot just turn it around. Plug the connectors in horizontally to the headers on the motherboard. Hope this helps.

Where you have them plugged in looks ok. See if it boots. Just turn them around if it doesn't.

If the leds don't blink or light up, you have to flip the connector, leds care about polarity (but won't be damaged if you put them the other way around, the voltage the motherboard outputs is too low to damage them)

Switches (the connectors with SW in name) don't care about polarity, you can put them in either way but for esthetics purposes you may want to arrange the two wire colors the same way.

That is your hard drive. You need to plug in your SATA Data cable to it and connect it to the motherboard. Then you need to connect you SATA power to it from your PSU.

Should it go with that green side up of green side down resting on the case?
