Need some good reasons to tell parents why I need a camera

Hey everyone, just came along this camera on some local site and is in my budget, also has pretty good in my opinion, specs...

I want to take it anywhere with me, from trips, to VACations outside of my country, I mean we have some old Sony camera, but it's old AF, also my phone is the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016 Edition)

Vacations man  normal human vacations, you even been in a vacation? I've been on the moon once, well I am there now and I have my 2TB Bandwidth

Yeah it's mine, I was actually saving for some bedroom stuff but I just fixed those and didn't need to buy em so I came to the 2nd thing on my list which is a camera

You know the thing is that I tell them that I need it for the reasons I sent above but they still tell me "You can't buy something you don't need", it's like whatever I say goes in from one ear and comes out from the other

ask yourself the questions your parents will.. if you can't justify your need maybe they are right..
ie do you have a hobby that requires the specific features of this camera?

I bought a $300 dollar monitor once and I told my mom the price. She thought it was pretty expensive and didn't overly approve. 

 

I bought a $400 dollar one a few months ago, she doesn't know the price and never will.

Why do you want/need that camera? Believe it or not, but you can take quite good photos with your smartphone. A high end camera doesn't really make photos better unless you know how to use them.

 

Do you have anything else which you need money for in the future?

 

 

To be honest, if you can't justify it then maybe your parents are right in being strict with you. Judging by your post you are not that great at saving. I mean...

Chances are you are in this situation because you have shown to your parents that you are not good with money. If you had shown your parents that you did not spend your money carelessly, that you understand the value of saving and maybe not buy everything you want, then chances are you wouldn't have to ask the Internet for reasons to justify buying things to begin with.

Ναι υπάρχει, θέλω να γυρίζω βίντεο με τριπόδι και να ξαναξεκινήσω YouTube με μία πολύ καλύτερη κάμερα, επίσης θέλω να την κυκλοφορώ μεταξύ των ταξιδιών που πηγαίνω και να έχω καλές σε ποιότητα φωτογραφίες.

Landscapes are fun. However I have to be honest shooting portraits is really fun. You just don't need naked models. There is a lot of other ways to be creative and do more unice stuff. Same with landscapes, try not as usual angles and things. Be creative. Don't just do wide angle shots, Think about the tele shots and how those can look. 

 

Really, to convince someone, you need some strong arguments. Will you use it? Can you afford it? Now afford does not mean you have the amount of money, afford means you can afford to put that amount of money aside after you buy all other things you would need untill you get your next "pay". 

 

If you buy it and only use it now and then, maybe it wasn't the best purchase. Tell them its going to help you get outside, create memories, be creative and keep you away from your PC (untill you find out about advanced post processing.)

 

But really, you shouldn't have to convince someone to buy it. Unless, start laying subtle hints. Do your reaserch on how photography works. You are way more trusting in a person that knows what he is doing. If I had someone say, "I'm going to but this camera" when they really know nothing about cameras, I'd be sceptic. However if someone that is read on cameras and know what they need and want, then its a lot easier to "trust" them.
