good build.

i'd opted for the CPU HSF to be oriented 90° from what you have and rid the roof fan. pulling the warm air from the GPU and have the front top fan cool nothing as the roof fan pulls that good air out with no benefit. a better flow path and use of incoming cool air.

might try it with some of your own testing and experiences.

Well that 750GB hard drive is nearly 10 years old now and it's still rocking so I can't give it up now. And I mean if I'm gonna have a FE, I might aswell flood the case with green, also got the chromax green on the LTT edition NF-F12's and NF-A14's.

I actually tried mounting it like that both times I've had to move it too a different motherboard but with no success. Quite possibly I'm too stupid for Noctua's mounting system.

  • 3 weeks later...

So slight update. I did a bios update, took out the cooler, reoriented it for better airflow, and  mounted a rear exhaust fan which is right against the CPU cooler but none the less it there. All the fans aside from the GPU are Noctua's, damn that's a lot of money on fans. The CPU is now running at 4.7Ghz and there's a light OC on the RAM too.

i have not tested this my self but since OP has a blower style GPU cooler the orientation wouldn't matter much right? since the hot air of the GPU gets blown outside of the case anyway.

like in the picture you showed as a example, it has a open style cooler on the GPU so the hot air will go into the case regardless.
