Posted March 20, 2017 Hi guys, Im pretty close to starting my first ever build. One thing that worries me a lot though is that I am afraid that I will mess up the wires. Any words of encouragement or tips? Thanks! VicRik

Posted March 20, 2017 read the manual if you are unsure, beyond that there's very little that can go wrong, except if you have a situation like this i still need to punch either intel or bequiet for being possible: in theory you shouldnt be able to plug anything in the wrong way, but sometimes manufacturing tolerances... arent what they're meant to be
 Posted March 20, 2017 everything is keyed so they only go in one way. kind of hard to put it in wrong.
Posted March 20, 2017 The only cable that should be anywhere close to confusing after reading the manual is the power on cables. Atleast that's how it was for me when i built my first computer. Yep, I always double check the tab before plugging it in. Posted March 20, 2017 Front Panel I/O was always annoying (not hard) but the tiny plugs on the small pins just made it annoying, add in the fact that my vision ain't what it used to be and this was always the longest part of any build for me. Here are a few tips I would say for any first time builder. Read the manual Take your time and double check each step, any time i made a mistake it was something simple. Almost everything will only go in one way or has a clear marking for you to align it. https://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-24-Inch-Claw-Pick-Up-Tool/dp/B000NY4U6S/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1490051444&sr=8-6&keywords=screw+grabber This thing, it has helped so many times. Don't forget to ground out before handling components, touch the metal part of the case. If you're going to be working on say a kitchen table or finished desk surface, grab a bath towel and lay it down first, this will prevent scuffing and any screws that get dropped won't bounce or roll away. Other than that good luck and have fun!
