Running Windows and OSX

I am currently running Windows 10 on 2 Samsung 850 evos in raid 1. They are working fine and have amazing read and write speeds. However, I am getting more into video editing and am unable to find a good video editing software on Windows that is free and doesn`t have a watermark! I am used to editing videos on a mac with Final Cut Pro X. I have access to several licenses of Final Cut, but it only works on OSX. I have room for an extra drive in my PC case and was wondering if there was a way to instal OSX on another drive and then booting from it when I want to edit videos?

Thanks,

Andrew

The only way to use Mac OS X or macOS is either on a real Mac, or by building a Hackintosh. The latter is not always guaranteed to work, and cannot be discussed further on the forum. There are a lot of other great resources available online, so I'd recommend checking them out. I will NOT give a link as I don't want to get banned. The best option is to get a real Mac, because you then won't be violating Apple's terms of use or whatever they call it.

Main System: Phobos

AMD Ryzen 7 2700 (8C/16T), ASRock B450 Steel Legend, 16GB G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 3000MHz, AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB (XFX), 960GB Crucial M500, 2TB Seagate BarraCuda, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations/macOS Catalina

Secondary System: York

Intel Core i7-2600 (4C/8T), ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3, 16GB GEIL Enhance Corsa DDR3 1600MHz, Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB, 240GB ADATA Ultimate SU650, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

Older File Server: Yet to be named

Intel Pentium 4 HT (1C/2T), Intel D865GBF, 3GB DDR 400MHz, ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB (HIS), 80GB WD Caviar, 320GB Hitachi Deskstar, Windows XP Pro SP3, Windows Server 2003 R2

We cannot discuss Hackintosh on this forum because that is related to piracy. The only advice we can provide here is for you to purchase a legitimate mac. Other than that, you're on your own. Sorry mate.

So much for PCMR when you can't even discuss things in a free and open world where free speech supposedly exists. It's against Apple's terms in relation the license a user may or may not have purchased, but it's not against the law.

An easy Google search will point you to one of the main sources of information. The hardware to run a Hackintosh is fairly specific, but the site in question outlines all of this, so you'll be able to see if your computer even has a chance. Even accounting for a brand new PC capable of Hackintosh, it's still cheaper than a Mac, if you were so inclined.

Private company making decision to respect another private company's ToS has 0 to do with freedom of speech. Nor does it have anything to do with that overgrown meme you are referring to.

Yes, there is a way. However, due to the CoC, we cannot discuss it on these forums.

There are forums you can find via a Google search regarding such matters, but again, I won't provide the link or any further information.
