What CPU do you suggest?

I'm building a PC for a friend, and was wondering, because he's NOT using it for playing games, but mostly web browsing, watching videos on YouTube, and streaming videos, would an Intel Pentium G4400 do the trick? He wants it to be small and quiet, so I thought it could be passively cooled? If not,  what CPU do you suggest? (I'm trying to keep costs low btw)...

That pentium will be fine. You can also get a g4620 I'd you want a better gpu and hyperthreading.

My GF's light gaming pc uses a G4400. Runs most games fine so I'm sure browsing and such would be fine.

I'd get a G4560, best budget CPU for everything. You can probably passively cool one with a Cryorig H7 or maybe a Hyper 212

Any CPU would work as the others have said. Adding an SSD will also help keep OS and program latency to a minimum.

yes that cpu will be fine but if he ever does want to play any games a i3 6100  would be good and do all of that stuff he wanted to do, it will do it more efficiently.

Yea I suggest the g4629 hyperthreading is a big deal if ur friend decides he wants to do some light gaming, some games require four cores be it actual cores or hyperthreading.

For normal use the G4560 is better value than the G4620. In daily use you won't notice a difference, and it will still be faster than something like a laptop i7-7500U
