Is this a good computer build?

El_Gran_Tecnico

Not that CPU cooler, not that keyboard and the rest is more or less fine :)

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Thanks for the reply, what different cooler would you suggest, and keyboard?

What's your budget?

What are you using this PC for?

Air cooler:

Cryorig H7

Any noctua

Any bequiet

Any Cryorig actually (to be honest)

Liquid cooler:

Anything 240/280mm as 120mm is just not really worth it :/

Keyboard, IDK but I just don't feel as spending $50 on a membrane keyboard is worth it...

What games do you play? unless you are some CS:GO/ LoL / Rainbow Six or other e-sports fast paced games hardcore gamer with all this horse power I would go with a higher resolution monitor instead of 144hz...

An IPS panel of high resolution will give such a boost in image fidelity and quality while 60fps is smooth enough for campaign games... It is just a thought of mine, the PC is a no mistake one, all high end... just the panel I would give a second thought... maybe something ultra-wide.

Since you are investing so much money on the other conponents Id suggest you to buy a mechanical keyboard, from Corsair if you will, they have great models... I have no idea about water cooling but I think that if you use a cpu block, maybe It would make sense to use a block to watercool your gpu, but thats up to you!

Sorry for posting again but I dont know how to edit my post on my mobile (Im using opera, maybe that has something to do...) I forgot to say that you should buy a great sound system for the greatest experience in my opinion (I think that it is what you are trying to achive).

I prefer using headphones rather than speakers because of the privacy It grants you and because you don't bother others with your stuff, at night, for example. Any studio headphones from audiotechnica, akg, or sennheiser would be great.

I have to say that I dont know the quality of the on board sound but maybe Its okay... You can always buy an amplifier... (Dont do It if you are not really into the audiophile side hehe)

  • Looks decent. I too wonder why you have 2 DVD drives.
  • And 32GB of RAM? Why did you go for that set, it's pretty overpriced.
  • You don't need an 850w PSU.
  • That price for Windows is ridiculous.
  • I'd look into a different monitor, that one seem overpriced.
  • Have you ever used an MX Master? Might want to try one out, I find them absolutely awful for gaming.

It's a pretty nice keyboard for $50. Not everyone finds mechanical switches worth the money.

But...but...not everyone finds spending more than double just really for RGB lighting is worth it...

More than double what?

This keyboard likely has a better build than most cheaper keyboards. It has G keys. It has a solid wrist rest. These are all feature adds that may (or may not) make it worth while. And yes, RGB is one of them as well, but it's far from the only one.

You just dont spend 50$ on a membrane keyboard while you can spend just 20 more and get decent and (just some of them) good mechanical keyboards... And with 30+ you have WAY better mechanical keyboards... I dont really get the point of spending more than 15$ on a membrane one...
