I'm looking for a unicorn apparently.

PoopDeckPappy

I want to find a monitor that doesn't seem to exist.

Non-TN (I want good color reproduction)

24"/61cm

1080 @ 100hz+

Freesync

Hopefully under $300/240pounds (if one exists that's more, please let me know)

My PC:

i5-6600K

8G of RAM

8Gb XFX RX-480 with custom PCB

Thanks in advance!

PcPartPicker has nothing so I don't think it exists.

I'm afraid it doesn't unless you go under 100 hz or to 1440p

Hello! you found your Unicorn! =D

Not really, serious now though, IPS panels often only goes as high as 75hz with FreeSync, I would advise the LG Ultra-Wide 29 or 34 inches (2560x1080p) It is a great monitor and suits me perfectly even using a nVidia GPU [:

~sad face~ I got my first TN and I'm not happy with the picture.  I came from a Samsung VA panel, so it was a let down.  I have most games running 100hz or more, which rocks, but I can't get around the washed out look.

Have you tried calibrating the monitor and compensating for the colors? It won't be as good as an IPS panel, but it's something.

No. I hadn't thought of that!  I'll have to do some research on the subject.

What's wrong with a curved panel, if I may ask?

There's nothing "wrong" it's just at this aspect ratio it doesn't make much sense.

Ahh, yes.  They are a personal preference and some games don't support that ratio, Overwatch is one of them.

It doesn't take anything away from the experience. I have a Samsung curved 27" and I think the curve is fine. If anything it slightly (very slightly) makes it better. The curve isn't much actually, its noticeable but not until you notice it if that makes any sense. A curved display shouldn't be a reason to not get a display.

I don't quite get what you mean. Overwatch supports any aspect ratio and doesn't look bad on a curved display.

I guess it's been fixed.  I know for a bit it was not playing at 21:9, but at 16:9 with black bars on the sides.

i dont think theres anything wrong with TN panels.. they arent the steaming piles of turd that show poor colours that people make out. my Xb280hk 4k monitor was TN i then moved to a predator x34 which is IPS and i noticed nothing.. diddle squat.. from all the talk out of people ass on this forum i was expecting to be blown away by the colour accuracy and see things in a whole new world showing me how washed out and drained my other monitor was... but nope.. looked the same.. guess its either fanboyism trying to make out their products are better .. or i see in monochrome
