Best Inexpensive Laptop for School

Hello all,

I'm currently using my 2010 Macbook Pro 13" and I am in dire need of an upgrade. I don't have money for another macbook so what would be the best bang for the buck laptop in the 13-15" range. I'm not really looking to spend more than $700.

i know people will probably disagree with me on this but whatever, My university gave me a free acer chromebook when i started. I really hated it at first but now (after installing linux) I'm actually quite fond of it, it's really lightweight and the battery can last up to 14 hours which as a student this is ideal for taking to lectures and the odd bit of work that i don't do on my main PC in my dorm.

Some of my classes require programs that don't work on chromebooks.

also what ideal things are you looking for? something that's powerful or lightweight?

Just school. Maybe light games but probably not. Probably going to need photoshop/premier to run on it eventually.

Mixture of both would be nice. Not looking for ultra light but also not alienware massive.

I don't know whatr exactly you do at school so here are some All-Rounders:

  • Dell Inspiron 5567
  • Asus Zenbook UX305CA-EHM1
  • Acer Aspire v3 371

All of then are under 700$ and they would satisfy me if i was on that budget.

Hope i helped.
