i7 7500u and a GTX 1060

Nick861

Hi I'm planning to buy a HP spectre and a Razer core, and I'd run ether a 1060 or 1070 and I just am wondering what type of performance hits  I'd be looking at In that setup. Also is the RAM expandable

I wouldn't get a Razer Core. They're pretty over priced compared to the rest aren't they?

Go for the 1070. You see about a 25% reduction in performance when using the card like that, so it'll insure solid performance.

What would be an alternative to the Razer core

yes quite a bit bottleneck, build a desktop and get a laptop. whats your budget?

I already have a PC that out specs this idea but I just really like the idea of a portable laptop that whenever I want can be turned into a comparable gaming PC. My buget is 3000 to 3500

I have a PC with a 1060 and a 6600k but I thought I could buy the spectre and buy a 1070 after selling the PC. I am a student that is always in the go and I feel that this would be the best set up for me

Powercolor Devil Box I think is quite a bit cheaper.

So you're going to sell your desktop to pay for this?

Keep in mind that your laptop won't be as powerful. And if you're planning on carrying the Core around with you, it's not the most portable thing either.

I'd just get a laptop with a proper 1070 already in it.
